Brief description of Position: USAID/Mali has an immediate opening for an experienced U.S. Resident Hire Personal Services Contract Senior Advisor for Public Private Partnerships and Policy who will serve in the USAID Mali Health Office. S/he will work under administrative discretion and provide significant and broad based strategic and programmatic leadership and highest level decision making in the application of specialized public and private sector innovations, and interactions to advance Mali health priorities, formulating programmatic policies and developing the capacity of the Health Office staff to effectively partner with and leverage the strength of the private sector (at local, regional and/or global levels) in improving the implementation of effective public health programs.
To be considered for this position, applicants must meet the following minimum qualifications:
1.   Hold United States citizenship and be a resident of Mali at time of hire;
2.   Hold a degree in Public Health, Business Administration, Health Policy, Health Sciences or related field, or equivalent years of experience working within international development programs/context related to new business and partnership development, health, agriculture, and/or food processing;
3.   Have a minimum of ten (10) years team leadership experience and ten (10) years progressively responsible experience which includes health project management, whether as focus or element of larger programming, preferably with applicability to international public health. H/she must have a minimum of five (5) years experience in the progressive development of public-private partnerships within developing world contexts.
